On a cold saturday morning we were in the mood for some steaming hot chinese soup so we decided to visit this place having heard it served authentic chinese food. Unfortunately the soup of our choice from the menu wasnt available. So we decided to go straight to the mains - egg fried rice, lettuce in oyster sauce and braised pork in brown sauce. Each of these dishes was fabulous ! The pork was soft and juicy, the egg fried rice tasty with fresh scallions and the lettuce was nice and garlicky. We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes.Only complaint we had was a lot of the dishes on the menu were not available like the duck for example. But there is always a next time !
It feels like you are in Chinatown :)
The food is delicious especially the pork gyoza. It makes me want to visit them every week... definitely worth visiting..
Authentic Chinese food is very hard to find. You might find authentic Indian Chinese here and there but that’s about it. Even the Chinese restaurants attached to the premium hotels in the city alter the taste for the Indian palate. Having spent some time in the east, my wife and I get the occasional craving for authentic Chinese food. We discovered this place by accident. We ended up having a meal here because the neighbouring authentic Chinese restaurant Peng You Quan was already booked. And boy did we like it! The taste is authentic, the portions are huge and I felt like I was having a meal in an authentic Sichuan restaurant in Hong Kong or Chengdu. I will strongly recommend the boiled fish and the assortment of greens that they have on their menu. Definitely worth the money for the portions (the fish can satisfy 3-4 people). Make sure you try the Sichuan dishes flavoured with the mouth numbing fragrant pepper corns. Definitely visiting again.
