The packaging was disastrous and torn from places and so the breads were cold and rubbery and when I called the restaurant regarding the same the female staff though appearing to be respectful was rude and completely unhelpful.I guess this is to be expected from a place which doesn't even packages it's food properly, then how are they gonna hire good staff!!
The ambience was the only thing decent in this place. We had ordered butter garlic prawns which was smelling so bad we could smell that it was spoiled before the plate was even touching the table. Still I tried to give benefit of the doubt and tried one bite, it was outrageous that they even served this to us. When we complained they first agreed on cancelling the dish but later claimed that this dish smells this way and brought the same dish covered in batter I guess to conceal the smell. We still tried to politely refuse eating this dish but they just left it at our table and said they can’t cancel the dish payment. At the end we refused to eat it and they cancelled the payment and we tried to appreciate that but then they still dare to force us to give 10% service change. A total scam. The ratings on this restaurant are not trustworthy, they might be rigged because there is no way that this type of hygiene and service gets such great reviews.
Romeo Lane – A Masterclass in How Tier-2 Restaurants Scam YouBooked a table for three on a Saturday night via Dineout, expecting a smooth evening. What followed was a textbook example of how certain restaurants bend every rule to squeeze extra money from unsuspecting guests.First red flag: Upon arrival, we were slapped with a ₹3000 cover charge — nowhere mentioned during booking. And here's the kicker — I had already paid the cover charge through Swiggy’s gateway while reserving, only to be told it wouldn’t be accepted. Apparently, they’re happy to ride the wave of these aggregator apps to get footfall, but conveniently block any discount or prepaid payment when the bill arrives. Then comes the mandatory bottled water policy. No regular water is served if you're having alcohol. It’s not a restaurant — it’s a ransom setup.Food? Utterly mediocre. But more alarming — minors were being served alcohol openly, which isn’t just unethical, it’s illegal.Romeo Lane isn't just disappointing — it's deceptive. A scam masquerading as a dining experience. Avoid this place like the plague.
