It is important for us to give some clarification to your review because we take pride in our customer reviews and we care for each and every feedback: 1. The first cake had a bit tricky design. A slight mistake led to complete new icing. It was our mistake as the chef didn’t remove the icing before adding the new icing. This mistake was acknowledged immediately with folded hands. We offered complimentary oats and raisins cookies (made in pure butter and not palm oil) and butter garlic toasties which were not refused by you. Although, you seem to like them but, they were not mentioned in the review. 2. The statement about the little sponge is exaggerated. The sponges are baked in standard half kg molds. All the cakes have the same sponge. Yes, the cream might be little extra but, it doesn’t mean that the sponge is less. 3. In the second cake, a new process of icing was implemented to accommodate the dark color of the cake. Initially, white icing was done and on top of it, a layer of dark color was used so that you get the required design without any issue of dark color sticking to the mouth, lips or hands. The cream is slightly more but, definitely less as compared to the previous cake. This cake design came out really well but, you didn’t mention the design part as well. 4. The quality ingredients used have the same taste even with thick icing. We understand that you had issues with the extra cream but, simply writing the whole experience ruined is out of proportion. We strive to give our best but sometimes, things don’t go our way. Sorry again!
