I recently visited Richmond Cafe on two occasions, and I would like to share my feedback to help improve the overall customer experience. My initial visit was marred by a strand of hair in my cold chocolate drink, which left me quite disappointed. Additionally, the atmosphere was slightly uncomfortable as the waitstaff seemed subtly cold and, at times, gave off signals that suggested we should leave. I strongly believe that hygiene is not a luxury but a necessity in any dining establishment. Despite my initial disappointment, I decided to give Richmond Cafe another chance. On my second visit, I ordered a cappuccino with an international friend, hoping for a better experience. While the coffee quality was passable, the service fell short. The waitress who took our order displayed passive-aggressive behavior and seemed cold throughout our interaction, despite my efforts to maintain politeness. To add to the discomfort, my friend and I were bothered by mosquitoes. Interestingly, the maintenance lady noticed our struggle and proactively approached the waitress to get mosquito repellent inscent stick. Unfortunately, the waitress responded rudely, loudly suggesting that if we were being bitten, we should leave and pay our bill. This created an unwelcoming atmosphere, which I found disappointing, especially considering the café was not crowded at that time. I understand the challenges of maintaining composure in a busy environment, but with the café being relatively empty, I expected a more customer-friendly approach. While I was initially optimistic about Richmond Cafe, these experiences have left me disheartened. I sincerely hope the staff can work on their communication skills and cultivate a more welcoming attitude towards customers. Despite my previous attempts to enjoy Richmond Cafe and recommend it to friends, my recent encounters have led me to reconsider. This feedback is offered with the hope that improvements can be made for the benefit of both customers and the establishment.
