It's on the butt road, easy to locate from the busy road. Parking is adequate here but safely park your vehicle if you don't want to be hit by any vehicle.
Looks like some moderately priced pastry shop. One thing that 'll grab your attention- wall of fame! Potraits of celebrities on wall, but was a bit too much in volume.
Had corn cheese toast, lemon honey tea. The corn was undercooked and toast was a little burnt. The mayo was weak, had to soak with ketchup to make it eatable.
The lemon honey tea was not so great, it was bitter. Had hard time drinking it.
Prices are economical, service was good. Dish serving time needs to be improved.
Wedding Hall seaeching for Sister left me and my brother stranded in the neighbourhood..after looking thro zomato...this place looked promising...as we did not wanna waste time so aasife was out of the question...
Location : On the road that leads from guindy towards porur..its located right at the junction of montfort school....
Parking : Roadside parking in the adjacent street...
Ambiance : Its just a pepped up fastfood joint...photo frames of famous personalities adorn the walls of the cafe..cleaning and maintenace did not look good however..the tables were sticky...and ketchup bottles stained...
Service : Quick and prompt....on my visit only fast food items were available...my brother who asked for a pizza was left dissappointed...
Taste : We tried the fried rice(Egg & Chicken) and chilli chicken...was a typical fried rice and chilli chicken you get in any fast food joint in chennai...even the plating was the same....fried rice was a bit over cooked IMO.....the rice was kinda burnt...the chilli chicken was too spicy...almost impossible to eat...
Value for Money : Though the prices are nominal considering the ambiance..taste wise are not that great...could be given a miss...unless u are left with no other option...Availabilty of items is also less...wanted to try milkshakes which also were not available.....
Visited here for quick lunch around 2.30pm, since it was on the way to my office. Richie Rich Cafe is located at the beginning of the mount poonamalle road on left side from Kathipara. Since it's on main road, you have to park on the perpendicular road, but difficult for cars.
Don't go by the name Cafe, its not even closer to cafe. I would call it as street side fast food shop on small AC Hall. As similar fast foods, they serve noodles, fried rice, fried vegetables & meat, etc.. Menu says they have burgers, sandwiches & biryani. But it's not available, time for them to update their menu card with actually what they serve.
Small hall with 3 round tables & 12 chairs. They have hanged close to 50 famous personalities photos on the wall. Clean enough to have quick food. Nothing else to say about decor.
Decided to try with egg rice first, if it was good then would have ordered some other fries. Egg rice served was huge in quantity but very average taste. So decided to order nothing more from there. Couldn't finish more than 3/4th of the rice. It costs only ₹60, which is also as cheap as street side shop for the quantity, but I am not satisfied with the taste here, atleast I think street shops tastes good, even though its not hygenic.
I would not visit this place anymore, since it didn't impress my taste buds. Every one might have different taste, so I would recommend others try for themselves if they are in the neighbourhood.
