I brought 3 KGs at a shop just opposite the metro station (on the left when coming from MG Road). I didn't see chips getting prepared in the shop. I asked the shop owner to give me fresh chips and one of the half kg packets had a 10 March sticker while other packets had no date of manufacture sticker. I asked if the chips were made of coconut oil and he assured me that it was made of coconut oil.I should have asked for a sample but the shop didn't have a manufacturing unit attached to it. The shop owner arrogantly said that his shop chips are the best. He took ₹200 per half KG. Now I find that the chips are not made of coconut oil. I am told that I have been fooled and that the chips are made of palm oil. I have to throw 5 packets that I have as the chips don't taste fresh. It is very disappointing.I am referring to the shop right in front of the metro station entrance and below the metro station. Never buy from a shop that doesn't have the manufacturing unit attached would be my advice to fellow customers.
