I visited Ratna Cafe in Adyar today with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I tried their ghee pongal, vada, and idli sambar – but the food had no taste at all and the quality has dropped drastically. Ratna Cafe used to serve authentic, flavorful South Indian food that people kept going back for. But it feels like after their name went viral on Instagram, the focus on taste and quality has been compromised. The sambar, which was once their highlight, was bland, and even the vada and pongal lacked freshness and flavor. Honestly, it’s sad to see a once-beloved spot lose its charm. Ordered mini idly. They chopped the whole idly and gave it to us. Asked the waiter to change it. He ignored and we asked for the manager. He literally argued that it was not a mistake. It was a utter disappoint. We love ratna cafe there is no use of us lying about this incident. Clearly manager is not doing his job maybe. Doesn't know how to speak to customers. Spoiled our day.
