Visited Ratnasagar – The Tawa Punjab Restaurant & White Horse Pub & Bar in Manipal, located on DC Office Road, Vidyaratna Nagar. The ambience is absolutely lovely — spacious, clean, and well-designed. It’s a great place to sit back and relax, and the overall vibe of the restaurant and bar is impressive. However, I was quite disappointed with the food quality during my visit. What we ordered: Cream of Tomato Soup – ₹125 The consistency and flavour were not quite right. Tasted bland. Rating: 2/5 Veg Gold Coin (8 pieces) – ₹225 Slightly better in texture but lacked strong seasoning. Rating: 3/5 Fries Overloaded – ₹200 Expected cheesy or flavour-packed fries, but the taste fell flat. Rating: 2/5 Paneer Malai Tikka (8 pieces) – ₹275 Description sounded good, but the actual taste didn’t live up to it. Paneer was soft but lacked depth in flavour. Rating: 3/5 Overall experience: While the ambience was top-notch and staff were polite, the food was unfortunately not up to the mark. None of the vegetarian dishes I tried stood out, and I believe the taste and quality need significant improvement. Might visit again for the pub vibe, but not for the food. Service: 3
