I had guests for dinner….
I ordered food from *Rangoli Restaurant at Fatehgunj in Baroda* …..
Out of the 5 dishes I ordered I was delivered only 4….
I obviously called the restaurant and complained… I expected an apology and an immediate action to rectify the mistake…
Instead this was my experience-
The lady at the restaurant snaps back at me saying that it’s not our problem we gave it to Zomato…you check with Zomato…I called the Zomato delivery guy and he said it is not my problem I just got what the restaurant gave me…you check with the restaurant..
I called the restaurant back and the lady again tried to toss me off again into the Zomato court…I told her that you need to look into it as I ordered food from your restaurant so she tells me that you should have called us directly and not on Zomato…!!!!!! I was shocked and I told her then why are you listed on Zomato - off list yourself from there….then she tells me I will arrange to send you the missing dish as a “personal favour to you”….!!!!
So- I order food…
I pay for it…
They don’t send me…
I ask for what is my right to get…
And she tells me she is doing a personal favor to me…???????
I was already extremely embarrassed before my guests…
The dinner was already a disaster….
When I told the lady that she’s not doing any personal favor to me instead she should have been apologetic and tried to rectify their mistake she snapped me off the phone and disconnected the line….then someone else from the restaurant called me to find out what happened…..then another person called me to again find out what happened….then someone else called me to take down my address…then someone else called me again to take down my address….this is all I was doing while we’re at dinner….. I received numerous calls from the restaurant and the Zomato delivery guy asking for the same information….
The Zomato delivery guy then says that I have your food parcel but I have another delivery so I can’t deliver instead you come and get it from me…
So- I have guests…
I order for the delivery of food just so that I have to ultimately go to get the delivery from the delivery person myself…..???????????????
I was out of even the tiniest pinch of patience that existed in me….!!!!!
Last but not the least….when I DID receive my order the guests had ALREADY left…however when I checked instead of 8 pieces (listed on their menu) of chicken tikka I had been sent just 6…..
So much for Customer Service….!!!!!!
