The veg platter is must to have here..and jaipuri kofta will bring water to your mouth every time you think of it.
It's a place with no music .Decent ambiance.. Go here if you want to enjoy your food to the max !
Eagerly expecting hot, roasted corn (Bhutta) with the smattering of lime and chilli chutney I turned around to see the waiter carry a plate of hot tikkis. Well, the Bhutta Kabab turned out to be makai da tikki with green chutney. Quite tasty and flavorsome. In fact so much so that the four of us ordered two more plates and clean polished it off.
Next up was Khichdi. This was better than the stuff Rajadhani served, well almost. The presence of curry leaves spoilt the taste for me.
Well, what do a couple of measly curry leaves do but enhance the visual appeal, you ask?! A lot, actually. In my prejudiced mind, the curry leaf is the discerning and fine line between Khichdi and Pongal.
While I did help myself to a decent helping of the Khichdi the curry leaves were reminiscent of Pongal served at Adyar minus the peppercorns. Dessert was gulab jamun, yum and a good way to end lunch.
A tad pricier compared to other vegetarian restaurants in the vicinity but convenient location, good service and wholesome vegetarian experience makes it ok.
