When I looked all over the Internet for some must try eateries in Agra, I was directed by all websites to only one place, Ram Babu Parathe wale. I was really excited by the name. Located at a very small gully in Agra this restaurant looks very hi-fi for that lane. It was almost 2 in the afternoon, it was extremely hot in Agra, I had just finished a ride from Delhi, I was hungry and could eat anything. I went in, they had A/C and a decent ambiance. More than what I had expected. I asked for an aloo paratha. The waiting time was barely 2-3 minutes. In came the deep fried, thick paratha, with 2 curries, pickle, egg plant sabzi and chutney as side kicks. The paratha looked more like a pizza. It was hot and crispy. I dug in without wasting any time. I would say that the paratha was very good, I had never tasted something like that (deep fried) but the curries were just too bland for my taste buds and the chutney and pickle weren't any exciting either. I felt like it was catering more to the foreign crowd because they like bland food with very little masala. All in all, it was an average experience.
