Re-heated food and not fresh. Ended up having severe stomach upset within 30 mins after eating. On top of that, not really worth the money for this template thali.

1) overrated 2) As their sale is very poor at this outlet, they are serving old & reheated food which has lead me to have food poisoning. Trust me except phulka none was fresh. Regret going there.

Except for the sweaty weather, I love everything about summer. Fresh blossoms and all my favorite seasonal fruits will be there everywhere. This is the time for pickling. Now I have one more reason to relish this weather – Khandani Rajdhani’s special Aamlicious thali. A few days ago I was invited to try the preview of Aamlicious Thali at Khandani Rajdhani, Indiranagar outlet. I should admit that my love for Gujarati and Rajasthani food started with this famous chain or better known as ‘King of Thalis’. The main reason which I would never get bored of this place is the variety of dishes they include in their thali every time. Starting from greeting the customer in a traditional way by applying tika (sandal paste) and till you leave the restaurant, they will treat you royally. More than through invites I have visited Rajdhani’s multiple outlets as a regular customer with my family and also with friends. Every time I’ve received same warmth and that is the reason why I like this place so much.

We started our dinner with two refreshing mango drinks – Aam thandai and Kairi Panna. I loved the Aam thandai with cardamom flavors than the Kairi Panna. The mango special (both raw and ripe mangoes) menu had interesting dishes like Kairi stuffed bread roll, Shahi aam dhokla, Mango dry fruit gughra, Mango dal dhokli, Arbi mango rasawala, Aam pyaaz ki sabji, Aam ki launji with Khoba roti, Malabari Mango kadhi or better known as Mambazha pulissery, Fajeto, Mango pachadi, Spicy mango salad, and Mango Pulao. The wonderful dishes needed wonderful accompaniments and for that, they served us – Kairi onion chutney, Kairi pickle, and Kairi coconut chutney. There were rotla and other breads but the best part of the meal was mini Pooris with a bowl of Aam ras. If I say ‘heavenly’, it would be an understatement. Till date, I haven’t tried a better Aamras than this at any restaurants in Bangalore.

For desserts, they served us Aamrakhand and Mango Jilebi with rabdi. The mango version of Shrikand couldn’t impress me much as it was too sweet for my palate but the star of the evening was definitely the Mango jilebi with rabdi :P

As it was a preview of Mango special thali, we got to try almost every dish from this season’s menu. They will be having a daily changing menu with 2-3 mango dishes included on their regular menu. The price per Thali will be ₹450 (lunch) and ₹499 (dinner & weekends). All prices are inclusive of taxes and the ‘Aamlicious Thali’ will be available at all Khandani Rajdhani outlets until June end :)
