Raja Bhojanam – Gachibowli, DLF Road Recently visited Raja Bhojanam, a Telugu-style Andhra restaurant right on the main road of DLF Gachibowli. The ambience is aesthetically pleasing—you can tell a lot of effort went into the interior design. Every detail, from the decor pieces to the overall vibe, reflects the essence of Andhra culture. However, the first impression was disappointing. As soon as I entered, there was a strong unpleasant odor inside the restaurant. This really needs to be addressed—it takes away from the overall dining experience. Coming to the food, I ordered their chicken curry special and a full meal with rice. The portion size was generous, the food was served quickly, and the staff were very hospitable and polite. The menu is quite extensive, and I’ll share pictures of it along with the bill. But when it comes to authenticity, I had my doubts. The chicken dishes I ordered tasted like they were made using the same base gravy, with just different spices added later. That’s not how true Andhra cooking works, and I feel the chefs may not be from Andhra. It lacked that bold, spicy punch you expect from genuine Andhra chicken curries.
