Located on SCF 27, "Raj Guru Sweets" is a well-known establishment in Kharar, particularly for residents and visitors of the Sunny Enclave area. This shop stands out as a prominent destination for those seeking affordable sweets and street food, especially given its long-standing presence amidst a market known for its transient businesses. Raj Guru has maintained its foothold in the area, possibly providing service for over three years.

Specializing in Rajasthani sweets, the shop offers a range of mithais, including its notable motichur laddoos and dry rasgullas, which some frequent customers find particularly enjoyable. Other offerings may not always meet expectations, especially for those who prefer sweets richer in ghee. Nevertheless, Raj Guru is known as a reliable spot for popular snacks like samosas, pakoras, and live tikkis — an appeal for many despite certain limitations.

Open every day from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, the shop's moderate pricing makes it accessible for many looking to satisfy their cravings without breaking the bank. One notable point is the proximity to a nearby temple, making it a practical choice for buying prasad. While feedback highlights some areas for improvement, recent first-hand updates would provide a more comprehensive picture; for now, older reviews shed some light on customer sentiments.

One stop sweet shop in the Sunny Enclave area, which enjoys its exalted position of being the only shop in its vicinity which sells basic low cost sweets and street food.

This particular block of market has seen a lot of stores on a temporary basis, where no one lasts for more than an year, but Raj Guru has been standing strong since years (I know this place since 3 yrs, but probably it is here since an even longer time). The USP of Raj Guru is that it is the most reliable sweets shop close to the temple. So every kind of prasad - for every specific day, can be bought from this shop.

Raj Guru is mainly a Rajasthani sweets seller and its famous Rang Biranga laddoo is quite a hot-selling mithai, however, I didn't like it much because it looks like some different colored balls of boondi bound together loosely... the laddo is dry and once u bite it, all the boondi scatters around.

Even the other desi ghee mithai like besan barfi, dal barfi are not up to the mark because they lack the basic  ingredient - and that is ghee. What is a Rajasthani halwai who doesn't add enough ghee to the sweets? The dal barfi is almost dry like gur.

The only good mithais that I can never get enough of at Raj Guru are its huge rasgullas (the dry version) and the motichur laddoo which are soft and always fresh. These laddoos won my heart because they don't give the numbing effect on your tongue which is quite usual in heavily coloured motichur laddoo.

The place is everyone's favorite and kind of only reliable option for samosas, pakoras, bread pakoras and even live tikki.

So inspite of its all shortcomings, why we still keep going to Raj Guru is the fact that no one has been able to beat its mithais (eventhough they are average) in the close-to-temple market.
