I recently dined at Rabdiwala in Borivali, and it was quite an underwhelming experience. Despite the enticing menu that promises authentic Rajasthani dishes, the taste didn’t live up to the expectations at all. We tried a variety of items, like aloo-pyaaz ki sabzi, bajra and jowar rotis, buttermilk, and of course, their signature rabdi with gulab jamun. The portions were noticeably small, especially considering the prices. The flavours were lacking, and the dishes didn't have that authentic Rajasthani touch we were hoping for. On top of that, the service was painfully slow. We waited for over an hour for our food, and even then, we had to keep reminding the staff for basic things like spoons and condiments. The seating was also uncomfortable, making it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. Overall, it felt like we spent a lot for very little in return. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for an authentic and enjoyable dining experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Received stale rabdi – completely spoiled and unfit to eat. Smelled sour and clearly not fresh. Extremely disappointing and unsafe. This is not just bad service, it's a serious health risk. Never ordering from here again. Service: Delivery Meal type: Other Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
Tried Rabdi Wala in Borivali recently and while the rabdi jalebi totally won me over, the overall experience was mixed. The jalebis were crisp, hot, and fresh, and the rabdi was rich, creamy, and perfectly chilled—an absolutely delicious combination that felt authentic and indulgent. If you’re someone who loves traditional Indian sweets, this combo is a must-try! However, the seating arrangement was a bit of a letdown. It’s an open setup right next to the main road, so it’s quite noisy and dusty, especially in the evenings. Not the most comfortable place to sit and enjoy food, especially if you’re looking for a calm or clean environment. Would I go back? Definitely—for the jalebi rabdi, but I’d probably opt for takeaway next time. Worth it for the taste, but not ideal if you’re expecting a good dine-in experience.
