I just ate the best grilled cheese sandwich I’ve ever had in my life here (and being from the US, I have had A LOT of grilled cheeses!!). Loved it!! And their coffee was excellent as well! A little on the pricier side, but that’s what happens when you order quality food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch

I love this place, during my stay in Rishikesh I spent there so much time. All members of the stuff (and the manager and chef) are friendly and very nice people that make you feel welcome and comfortable. They have great coffee and GREAT sweets (especially the double choco cookie!!!) and they make pizza day I think every Wednesday? You have to visit! And their music taste is also amazing! After a long night of filming (we wrapped up around 3:30 AM), I arrived at Ra Bakery on Sunday at exactly 9:03 AM — first customer in. The team was still setting up, but I was warmly welcomed. The vibe? Dreamy and calm. Soft earthy colors, jute rugs, cozy floor seating with low tables and big beanbags — surprisingly comfy even for laptop work. Music playing gently, crystal water jar for self-serve hydration, and instruments on the wall. It used to be King’s Café before, but now it feels more open, light, and soulful. The menu is refreshingly simple:
– Sourdough slices with various toppings (I had basil pesto – so good),
– Warm, fluffy cinnamon roll (real sourdough, slightly tangy, not dry),
– And a generously sized matcha latte with oat milk (also cashew or almond options available).
I dipped the cinnamon roll into the matcha — yes, it works Later I tried their banana bread — moist, flavorful, not overly sweet, even after sitting all day. 30% off if you grab it to go at the end of the day. Probably the best one I’ve had in the area. And then… the surprise star:
Hot spicy chocolate with rose petals. ️
Warming, fragrant, and so unique — like drinking a hug that flirts with your taste buds. Service was kind, AC at a perfect 24°C, and while the barista forgot my order for a second, she asked again with a smile — and as someone who worked in cafés for years, I totally understand. It happens. If it’s raining, Edith Piaf is playing, and you're holding a warm drink in a beautiful space like this… there's really nothing to regret, just simply enjoyed the moment.
