Over-promised and undelivered! 1. Long waiting line. The manager said that booking on Zomato does not guarantee seating. We waited for 20 mins despite having booked prior.2. The water glasses were unclean.3. We had Veg biryani. The manager said and I quote that "1 biryani is sufficient for 2 men with huge appetite" and the portion size we received was not even sufficient for 1 person. (The image attached shows the bowl and it was not even 3/4th full.)4. We also ordered Veggie Delight Pizza, but the pizza had very few veggies (3 tiny pieces on each slice) and not even half of the ones promised in the menu.5. The menu is not the same as the one on Zomato. 6. The manager had a really bad attitude. He did not entertain the fact that we were standing in queue and there were literally empty tables where we could at least sit down and pre-order. Instead, he mentioned that the table is booked for a family that was literally dining outside.A huge disappointment given the fact that we came to dine reading the very good reviews and the ratings.

A Gem in Alibaug!We recently visited Rustic Palms and had a fantastic experience. Ambience:The whole vibe was great, from the food and the lovely ambience that really lives up to the name. It has a very laid-back, "rustic" feel with lots of greenery and palm trees around. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Alibaug breezeFood:1) Pomfret FryIt was perfectly cooked, packed with flavor and had that authentic coastal touch. Definitely a must-order!2) Vegan Fish Curry: We were curious about this and it didn't disappoint. We didn’t imagine to get such delicious vegan food at coastal area. It’s made with raw banana but the texture and the green coconut gravy were so delicious that even the non-vegans loved it.3) Sol Kadhi: You can't have a coastal meal without Sol Kadhi. It was refreshing, creamy, and had just the right balance of tanginess.4) Coconut Pannacotta: This was easily the star of the table. We ended on a sweet note with this. It was light, silky, and the coconut flavor felt very fresh. A must try our own desi dessert.HospitalityWhat made the experience even better was the host. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They actually took the time to help us navigate the menu and suggested some unique dishes we ended up loving.Bottom line: If you are at Alibaug and want a relaxed spot with great hospitality and even better food, give Rustic Palms a try.
