It was my first visit to the restaurant after I saw them on Instagram. I went especially to try their meals. As I've lived in Hyderabad for 22 years (till 2014) of my life, I was always missing Andhra meals in Vadodara. But Roots of South India has fulfilled my wish by offering unlimited meals on every weekend at reasonable price. Regarding the taste, pappu (daal) was as authentic as it could be, I just loved it. The curries served were brinjal and Ivy gourd (dondakaya or tindora), those were amazing too. The curd was awesome too when combined with pappu or brinjal curry. And on top of it, the desert, Sheera (shiro in Gujju) was lip-smacking too. My wife tried dosa and idly, those were amazing too. Sambhar was lip-smacking too, I never tasted such delicious Sambhar ever in Vadodara till now. The owner being from Andhra, and as she sets all the recipes, guides the chef in preparation, that helps the taste to be authentic. Overall, I would rate 10/10 for everything I tasted and for the quick & polite service too. I will surely visit then more and more whenever I have an urge to eat authentic Andhra or Telangana meals in Vadodara.
