I recently visited a Punjabi Dhaba that left me with mixed feelings. To start with the positive, the food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic—exactly what you’d expect from a traditional Punjabi kitchen. The butter chicken was creamy and well-spiced, the tandoori roti was soft yet crisp, and the dal makhani had that perfect smoky touch. If you’re a fan of North Indian food, you’ll likely enjoy every bite. However, the experience was dampened by poor service. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive. It took far too long to place our order, and getting a simple glass of water or an extra plate required multiple reminders. There was no warm hospitality, which you usually expect at a dhaba-style eatery. Adding to the disappointment were the prices. For a place that looks and feels like a casual roadside dhaba, the cost of food was surprisingly high. Portion sizes didn’t justify the premium rates, and there were additional charges for things like extra chutney or onions. Overall, I’d say this dhaba is worth a visit for the food, but don’t expect great service or value for money. Go only if you’re craving authentic Punjabi taste and don’t mind the hassle.
