Nicely cooked chole bhature, vada and roti can make a deep impression on you. According to the guests' opinions, waiters offer great lassi. The creative staff welcomes guests all year round. ~~New place for chaats and North Indian veg cuisine~~ #CornerCafes #LocalEateries #NeighbourhoodEateries #PuraniDilli #Chaat #NorthIndianFood #Chandanagar There is a new place named "Purani Dilli" (opened between 3 to 6 months probably) in GSM Mall, Chandanagar. The same place where Tango's Grill & Kitchen was there earlier. We dined there few days back. Ordered Papdi Chaat and Delhi ka Shahi Thaali. Papdi Chaat was really good. I haven't had such good chaats in this part of city except Chatori Chaat in Kondapur. Delhi ka Shahi Thaali had 2 Butter Rotis (or tandoori rotis, we you wish), Jeera Rice, Dal Tadka, Paneer in Makhni gravy, 2 pieces of Hara Bhara Kabab, 2 Gulab Jamoons, Dahi, papad, Aachaar, Salad. Butter rotis were too soft and yumm. Jeera Rice was loaded with ghee (wife commented that it was bathed in ghee), Paneer in Makhni Gravy had an unique, sweetish taste (probably will comeback for this dish again). Dal Tadka was decent, but I would have like my Daal to be bit thicker. Hara Bhara Kabab had a raw smell. Overall, I would say it's a decent option for quick bites. Will I go back again? Hell Yes!! For the chaats and probably for the Paneer in Makhni gravy. ________________________________________________ (We "generally" post about Instagrammable Cafes and posh Pubs we visit, but often forget about the local, neighbourhood eateries.
