Review for Punjab Grill, Electronic CityFood: Service: Our experience at Punjab Grill was incredibly frustrating. We were excited to try their famous Dal Makhani after hearing glowing reviews, but things went downhill fast. After a decent round of starters Dahi ke Kebab and Paneer Cigar Rolls, we placed an order for main course with Dal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer, Garlic Naan and Butter Roti. However, after 10 minutes we were served Dal Tadka instead of Dal Makhani. When we pointed out the error, the server, Dhoni, was dismissive and argued we had ordered it. We got this response after he confirmed our order at least twice and each time we said Dal Makhani. Worse still, he claimed taking the dish back would affect his "tab" and refused to correct the mistake. Their manager who joined not long after 5 minutes was non-chalant and also tried to portray as if it was entirely our fault for ordering wrong. It took far too long, and only after unnecessary back-and-forth did they finally agree to bring the right dish, all the while our remaining order on table was getting cold. To top it off, their prices are all over the place. The Full serving of Dal Makhani was listed at 655 on Zomato District, 455 on Swiggy Dineout, and we were charged 675 as per their menu, excluding taxes. As a customer it is frustrating to see that a restaurant of this high stature pays so much effort to gaslight customers into believing their order was different so that they can serve whatever they want, and no effort at all to be transparent about prices anywhere online. Shame on you Punjab Grill! Shame on you for not prioritising the experience of your patrons. The food, when arrived, was good; but the experience left a sour taste. Between the poor service and the blatant overcharging, it’s hard to recommend this place. If you do go, make sure it’s during a major discount to make it even remotely worth it.Would I return?
