The Focaccia Meatball Sandwich @pullandpourindia This review should've been on my page weeks ago considering I closely saw the turnaround & re-launch of what is now my favourite Café in Mohali. I've been a part of this journey from the day I left @amritmakkar surprised by guessing what his new venture is with @katocharchit That conversation progressed to discussing a probable Menu; going to one of my fav spots for trying food & coffee to have a benchmark for PAP; but what truly mattered was the zeal & dedication of Amrit to put out one of the best Sourdoughs in the Tricity. It had to have the best organic flour, naturally fermented, he acquired the best oven for the bread & even enrolled for a short baking course. All this was aligned with the thought of making available top quality Sourdough that's reasonably affordable & to build a community around a local bakery. As I write today, Amrit & Archit have managed to principally achieve what they set out to do. The bakery offers the best sandwiches in Mohali & amongst the best in the region using in-house organic Sourdough breads. You can use their Sourdough subscription; watch the baking process; follow their daily Time-Table for baking different breads to get the freshest breads; bake with the team during occasional baking events etc. PAP even offers you their Sourdough Starter should you want to start baking at home. This sets them apart from others & makes PAP a fun, casual spot & sort of builds this sense of belongingness within the community they're out to create. The quality of ingredients is apparent in the food they serve, this Focaccia Sandwich is beyond a single flavour, it's part Italian, part middle eastern & has an underlying hint of Indian Spices. The meatballs are juicy, the cheese is perfectly goeey, the pickled onions are sparingly used to just pop the acidity infrequently & not subdue the mildly spiced meatballs & the herby nutty pesto. This meatball sandwich would be my top recommendation here, it's flavourful, comforting & addictive.. I'm definitely hooked!
