I stayed near Pirappancode for a few weeks, and this became my go-to spot for both breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, they serve puttu, appam, dosa, and porotta, paired with egg curry, kadala curry, or potato curry. Everything is simple, fresh, and satisfying. Lunch usually includes regular meals along with specials like fish fry and chicken perattu. Their chicken perattu is the signature dish, served on a softened banana leaf and available in half and full portions. It’s flavorful and definitely worth trying. They also offer evening snacks with tea, and the tea is easily one of the best in the area. For dinner, you can choose from porotta, chapatti, or dosa, served with chicken perattu, chicken fry, beef roast, or egg curry. The food is consistently tasty and comes at a very pocket-friendly price. Overall, it’s a reliable, budget-friendly place with good food and comforting local flavors. I had meals from Pulimoodu Restaurant, Pirappancode, and it was genuinely good. The food tasted fresh, and the portion size was satisfying for the price. The staff were very customer-friendly and made the overall experience pleasant, which I really appreciated. However, I feel the cleanliness of the wash area needs some improvement, especially since everything else about the place is quite decent. Considering the budget-friendly cost and the quality of the meals, it’s still a good spot for a quick and affordable Kerala-style lunch.
