If you’re craving authentic Kerala food in the heart of Mumbai, Public Restaurant near CSMT is a hidden gem worth discovering. Tucked away just a short walk from the station, this place serves some of the most comforting and flavorful dishes from “God’s Own Country.” The highlight of my visit was the Pothu Fry – perfectly spiced, slow-cooked to tenderness, and bursting with traditional Kerala flavors. Paired with their soft and flaky Kerala Porotta, it instantly transported me back home. The spices are balanced, the meat is well-cooked, and the portion size is generous for the price.
