Got steaks, was good however could have been better. Asked for medium - it was medium on one end of the steak and more done on the other end, mashed potatoes were a bit watery. Taste of both was still good enough. Creme brulee was excellent. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner

Review for Portland Grill & CafeWe were hungry and decided to eat at the Portland Grill & Café . Still wondering what the rave was all about. The food was below average We had ordered Grilled Seer fish with saffron glaze and Tenderloin supreme with red wine sauce . Seer fish is the softest when grilled. Mine was overcooked and had no flavours. Didn’t even see the saffron Who on earth has ever head of the pizza oregano garnishing in grilled fish continental style The Tenderloin was again at its worst. No flavours and oversaulty sauce was really yuck Ambience - Dusty and not really warm. Understand why it was practically deserted even with the beautiful wood fired oven around .Ah I forgot the in-house cat. Not really happy to have it in between the chairs while eating Would give it a rating of 2/5
