Driving from Mumbai for Diwali Festival was not as planned due to traffic jams in Ghat near Lonavala, which compelled us to take a breakfast break in Pune. Due to location convience Portico in Sayaji Hotel Wakad was a choice for breakfast and bio break Valet Parking and Welcoming Hotel Lobby made our tiredness little lesser. Portico being on ground floor access was easy and in house guests yet to arrive for breakfast helped us to have comfortable seats. Offer from restaurant staff led us to go for buffet breakfast option and it was right decision. Wide spread of breakfast options (Indian, Continental, Live Counter, Bakery and Chai Point) spoilt for choice. Most enjoyable was misal pav, poha, and rava onion masala dosa. Verity of juices and donut, pastry options helped kid to enjoy as per wish. Service was quick and courteous. Though rush increased due to in house guests, service was same. Overall it was right decision to take break at Portico in Sayaji Hotel Wakad. We hosted our daughter’s birthday and to our requirement everything was perfectly arranged. The best part of Sayaji which keeps people visit again, is the service and the staff of the hotel who are clearly on their toes to serve you better. For us it was Balasaheb, Vivek, Vikram and Ritesh who did their best job. Keep up the good work! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,200–1,400 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
