Since we’re not locals, we treated ourselves to a full-on seafood indulgence. Before our visit, I had connected with one of the owners/chefs, who unfortunately couldn’t be there that day. However, he ensured we were well taken care of by informing the team in advance. A big shoutout to Sobhana and Akhil, who welcomed us so warmly and guided us through the menu with genuine care, recommending dishes based on our preferences and portions that were just right.
We enjoyed a mouthwatering spread of seafood: Kalanji, Mathi Fry, Nei Meen Fry, crab, prawns, traditional curries, and accompaniments like kappa, chammandhi, and rice. Every bite was bursting with authentic flavor and coastal charm.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Ponjikarra Cozhina to anyone visiting Kochi. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience.
