My experience at this outlet has been a little inconsistent, to be honest. My first visit for pizza was a 5-star experience—the pizzas themselves were 4 stars, but the service was amazing enough to elevate the overall experience to 5 stars.However, my recent visit somewhat shook my faith in this place. They’ve redone their menu and added Neapolitan-style pizzas, which weren’t available during my first visit. The Neapolitan menu is separate from the classic one and, unfortunately, features some poor choices. Margherita isn’t even available in the Neapolitan style. Overall, the Neapolitan pizza was average at best. Given that they use electric ovens, I didn’t have high expectations—it’s hard to master Neapolitan-style pizza without wood-fired ovens.On the other hand, the classic pizzas were just as good as before. The sauce, the base, the cheese, the crunch—everything was spot on. Even more impressive were their chili oil and garlic oil accompaniments. It was nearly perfect—an easy 4-star rating.What really disappointed me during my second visit, though, was the service. I visited at a different time, so I assume the staff was different. They seemed completely disengaged, especially the guy serving our table. It took about 5 minutes just to get his attention in a restaurant that wasn’t even full. When he finally approached, he looked at me in a way I can only describe as suspicious—it was uncomfortable. I usually ignore such things, but it stood out.When I placed my order, he noted it down and then asked for my name and number, which I found odd. I’ve been to this outlet twice and to other branches of PizzaExpress, and no one has ever done that. I didn’t say anything at the time, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I can’t just let it go without mentioning it.To sum up: my second visit was a 3-star experience in terms of food (avoid the Neapolitan unless they offer classic toppings with it) and a 2-star in terms of service. I was excited to write a glowing review after my first visit and had definitely planned on giving them 5 stars. But after my second pizza visit (third overall), I have to bring my rating down to 3 stars. On a positive note, the female staff members were quite professional and pleasant.
