Not everyone in India has a palate for authentic Italian pizzas. Their sour dough base is freshly made but few might just hate it. I got feedback like it was eating naan with a pizza sauce topping. I enjoyed the Indianapolis pizza but felt the sauce could have been seasoned better. The butter sage ravioli was yum and the dip with the arancini balls was nice too. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was nice and airy with a nice hint of alcohol. The pricing could have been far more competitive though. I liked the food but did not find it value for money.
Waiting and waiting is what leads you to a very courteous staff they have to be for the list on the chart is really long . Once seated the food comes fast and the pizza's feel familiar to another establishment in the city Pizza Express . Just this place has a more generous helping of olive oil and a superb aroma of a wood fired oven. Excellent choice across the menu
Good recovery agents:Guess what a restaurant would do if electricity goes off midway while the guests are still having dinner? Here is what Pizza Metro Pizza does...
They told us they could not serve us any more food as there were no lights. Then they present a hand written bill (like an udipi restaurant!) for whatever was served. They asked us to settle the bill in 'CASH' as they could not accept card payment because their card machine was not working. When I told them that I dont carry so much cash around they were kind enough to agree to accept the payment later whenever I was passing by. But then I get 'few' phone calls within the next 3 days reminding me about the balance payment...Good show!!! Btw, the staff were very very courteous, it's probably just the DNA of the organisation.
