True to its name, ‘Piquant’ is a tastefully curated property in the heart of the city, next to the Ganeshguri main road. The owners live in the same premise and hence the property is clean, well maintained & hygienic. There’s also a cute and aesthetic cafe corner on the ground floor. Expect cute instaworthy scenes amidst green flowers & creepers. The menu is not your usual Assamese variety of cuisine, you can enjoy a refreshing American breakfast and an exotic range of daily special desserts. It appears to be a passion project, so while the prices are a little high compared to Assam standards and income levels, it is designed to cater to a specific audience and the prices totally justify the service, food quality etc. The place is suitable for stays of families, people on work trips & quiet/decent adult couples who are not here to drink or party. You gotta be above 23 to stay here! Gates close at 10:30 so not suitable for the party crowd but if it’s a comfortable stay with all amenities like AC, clean towels, linen, electric kettle etc that you seek, then ‘Piquant’ is the place for you.
