Beautiful hill station in Wayanad. All most rainy in monsoon and misty in winter. Morning mist is very beautiful. Tea gardens and thick forests are special attraction. Summer rain is also a wonderful experience. Good trafficable roads. Villagers are predominantly farmers. Popular crops are banana, tapioca, rice. Kabani river originates from the deep forest of Perya. Almost cool climate. Cattle rearing, poultry farming are popular here. No big supermarkets, petrol pumps, and bus stand are here even though it is the entry point of wayanad from Kannur side. This a hill station not a restaurant. Resorts are plenty here.
