I have been a regular at The Pavilion since last 15 years..My recent visit was on 14th March friday where I dined with my daughter who visited me from Australia almost after 5 years. She was very excited to dine at this restaurant. We came around 10:45 pm. She really wanted to enjoy some grilled prawns which have always been a part of the buffet and that was the only reason she came for. Before we opted for the buffet, we had a look around and my daughter had asked the chef at the live bbq counter if there were grilled prawns, only then she would dine. She very particularly requested that she would like a decent quantity. Chef ensured that they can do that. Upon hearing this, my daughter got really happy and she took the buffet and I opted for Al a carte. Upon dining, a steward served her a plate with only 5 tiny prawns in it. She asked the server if they could get as previously requested. Server said sorry thats not possible . Our whole point of opting for buffet was she could enjoy prawns but it was a clear cut abrupt No which was disappointing as they could have told us that before we opted for the buffet that all they can do is 5 tiny prawns and that about it Server wasnt very kind either. Rude and arrogant. There was a time when dining at ITC Maurya was premium and a beautiful experience. But this was the first step of disappointment. 15 mins down our dining experience, i could see napkins being getting folded on a table right infront of all the guests which wasnt a very pleasant sight. We could hear bang bang noises of cutlery being sorted by the staff, it was thrown so harshly that the noise was so bad and really got us upset. I understand it was around 11:15 pm but still the restaurant was open and this is the worst thing u can experience as a guest when u r paying 2000/- plus taxes for a buffet. My daughter was shocked to see the level to which the customer service had dropped down to. She hardly enjoyed her meal because all she could hear was staff laughing, talking, thrashing cutleries etc. This feeling we had never experienced before ever ever at ITC hotels. My heart breaks to even write this Upon sharing our experience with a staff member (may be manager) Shiv, he heard us and was empathetic. But other staff members were just not bothered. Its high time you'll need to retrain your staff members to ensure your guests keep coming back otherwise sorry to say, you guys are just another restaurant going down the standards. It breaks my heart that you are a part of ITC hotels and I am afraid I will ever choose Pavilion again. Service: 2
