I hate writing this review, every bit of it because I am someone who always believes in encouraging small businesses, and specially when it comes to desserts. But this experience needs to be called out. We were on a holiday when it was jyot’s birthday (his first after we got married) and I was looking for someone to bake us a nice, delicious abs good looking cake, something very similar to what I would’ve got in Bombay. Chef Sahil was highly recommended by some bakers and his added education from le cordeon bleu made ordering from him a little more credible. He kept on forgetting to share designs and confirm the order, it was like I was desperate to get a cake from him. We ordered a chocolate hazelnut cake and the only hazelnuts that you see were on the top of the cake. Nothing inside. The sponge itself was dry and tasteless and our entire experience was beyond horrible. Clearly not the worth the 1800 we spent on it. This once again proved to us, never trust small town bakers with a special occasion cake.
