After reading the amazing restaurants, we decided to go to Pastiche on a Sunday afternoon. While the food is pretty good no doubt, however, for a restaurant charging fine dining prices and one that claims to be a fine dining restaurant, a lot is left to be desired. For example:1. The music was extremely loud on a Sunday afternoon where only two other tables of 2 people were occupied, we had to request the staff to lower the volumes. 2. The fine dining concept was only applicable to the pricing, the quantities/ portion sizes for small for even one person. 3. For a fine dining restaurant, our plates and cutler were not changed after a change in the course i.e. from starters to the mains. The waiters stacked all the dirty plates shabbily once we were through with our meal to clear the tables. 4. We ordered a plate of stuffed chicken wings (which served only 1 piece of chicken wing), a burrata rigatoni which was extremely tangy and was evident that the ingredients used were of low quality and burrata was very less, and a grilled harissa chicken which was extremely delicious and probably the only dish i would consider going back for.
