Rameon in Meat -Rs.200 Garlic Pork Sliders -Rs.100 Passion Food, Nongthymmai, Shillong Chinese, Ramen, Snacks $ 06.06.24 Today I'm at @passionfood_shillong . I realised that the Kwenton building houses a few good eateries with the Kong 1 Rupee momo on the Ground floor, @tasteofhome_nm on the top & @passionfood_shillong in between. My intro to @passionfood_shillong goes back 1.5yrs when I'd ordered a couple of rolls. But dining at the restaurant is always different. I've come to the restaurant 2-3 times, but it was always closed. So I'm glad that it was open today. Infact the owner is my friend Chris' & fellow foodblogger @winnieskitchenette cousin brother. I entered inside a simple but cozy looking place with a balcony which is always a good thing to have on hot days. The owner came up & handed me the menu. I wanted to try out the schnitzel but it wasn't on the menu. The owner recommended that I try out their Ramen. So I ordered the Rameon in Meat which had Pork, Chicken, Prawns, a Sunny side up, Black Fungus mushroom etc. I was unsure about the portions so I ordered Garlic Pork Sliders for starters. The orders started coming after 10mins. I noticed that the owner was doing the cooking which I always appreciate. Anyway the Ramen came 1st. It had generous portions. I liked the consistency of the soup as it wasn't too thick. Also the meat & the cuts were exceptional. They were thin, soft, succulent & tender, esp the pork. There were 6 pcs of perfectly cooked prawns as well. The mushroom had a nice crunch to them. It also had the right amount of heat. The sliders were also decent with a lightly toasted bread topped with diced pork pcs & garlic mayo. Place sure lives up to its name Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
The food is really great especially the plain sea food ramen, the prices are reasonable and the ambience with the 2010's hit nostalgic songs playing in the background makes it even more amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
