A Blast from the Past: Dining at a revolving restaurant was once all the rage
The lure of its uniqueness and my long standing dream of dining in a revolving restaurant was recently satiated at Parikrama. The promise of a 360 degree view of Delhi's cityscape was fulfilled via the restaurant's moving floorboard, that revolves in an anticlockwise manner and offers diners a birds-eye view of Delhi's icons, such as Connaught Place, New Delhi Railway Station, Humayun's Tomb, Barakhamba Road and the green canopies that make up central Delhi's Skyline.
The experience is further enhanced by the more than satisfactory food and decent service. The orinetal flavours of the aniseed chicken, the creamy richness of Dal Makhani, and the mild sweetness of the Malai Kofta, accompanied with a garlic naan, worked in harmony to create a satisfying and wholesome meal.
The only improvement can be in the general décor, furniture and fittings that are ready for renovation. The availability of a bar menu will be an additional appeal for many, and the selection of IceCream Sundays are bound to delight the little ones.
All in all, the food, service and overall experience make this a one of a kind proposition for a meal with your family, your friends or a romantic affair with your partner.
