After a long time, I came back to Kolkata, and the first thing I craved was authentic Bengali food. During my MBBS days at SSKM, I had tried Parbati Hotel back in 2016–17, I guess. Today, after almost 10 years, I visited the hotel again—and trust me, they did not disappoint at all. I love eating at Pice Hotel and other heritage food places of Bengal, and the more-than-100-year-old Parbati Hotel is definitely one of them. We ordered one mutton thali, one veg thali, one vetki paturi, one piece of posto bora, along with matir bhar mishti doi. Each and every item was perfect in terms of both quality and quantity. It felt like finally getting the taste I had been craving for years, being a non-resident Bengali staying in a different state. Also, every bit of it was price-worthy. All these items cost ₹660 for two, which I feel was worth every penny. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Price per person: ₹200–400 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend
