I recently visited Brown Town in Kozhikode, and the place truly has a retro bakery vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere. The open kitchen allows you to see the staff at work, and it’s evident that they take hygiene seriously, which is reassuring. I ordered coffee, tea, and a sandwich. Both the tea and coffee were absolutely fantastic. They use some quality coffee beans and a coffee maker, and the coffee was easily the best I’ve had in a long time. However, the sandwich wasn’t to my liking—it seemed to have pineapple in it, which didn’t quite work for me. The place is compact and has limited seating, but that doesn’t take away from its charm. The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing, with a touch of old-school goodness, and the service was warm and welcoming. Overall, Brown Town is a great bakery with a unique atmosphere, excellent beverages, and a nostalgic charm that makes it worth a visit. I recently visited Brown Town Cafe and had a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the overall service exceptional. The ambiance of the cafe was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. We tried the BBQ pizza and Penne Alfredo pasta, and both dishes were fantastic! The pizza had a perfectly crisp crust with a flavorful BBQ topping, while the pasta was creamy, rich, and cooked to perfection. Overall, a great place for pasta and pizza lovers. Went here for a casual visit to check out some dessert options and ended up dining at the restaurant because the menu was quite delectable and backed up with quite great ambiance and variety on offer. I had the chicken steak with a side of roast vegetables, brown mushroom sauce, and mashed potatoes which was not only delightful to look at but quite delicious as well. Of course since this is a bakery as well the dessert options are plenty and i would recommend trying out their strawberry cheesecake and their coffee and chocolate brownies with a biscuit base and the themed seasonal menu is worth exploring. The establishment also offers a select range of cakes and breads for sale as well. Bonus notes: Clean and well maintained washroom, Allergen information is posted on the establishment, parking is decent and there is a wheelchair accessible ramp available.
