They took a lot of money from us but the rates on the packets are 100 and 70 rupees, so we paid 3 times. This is very shocking for us. Such kind of fraud is not right.

In the heart of Agra, where the fragrance of history mingles with the sweetness of legend, there stands one of the city’s most authentic Panchhi Petha shops—a temple of sugared delights. Stepping inside, I felt like a child at a fair, dazzled by a kaleidoscope of varieties. My eyes wandered, my heart fluttered, and in that delicious confusion, I chose the assorted gift box—a treasure chest of pethas. Within it lay four jeweled wonders: the Paan Petha like a green silken leaf folded in sweetness, the Rasbhari Petha with nectar that kissed the tongue, the Chocolate Petha that carried a whisper of modern indulgence, and the Santra Petha, radiant as a little sun. Each one sang its own melody, but it was the Rasbhari and the Paan Petha that became the music of my soul. They are now etched in my memory as favourites, to be sought again like old beloved friends on my next visit. And yet, Panchhi’s charm does not end with pethas alone. Shelves beckon with biscuits, cookies, and namkeens, each promising another journey for the senses. The shop itself was calm when I arrived—not much of a jostling crowd, only swift and attentive service. Nestled conveniently near the highway, it calls to every traveller passing by, though the bustle of the area makes parking a small conquest. But what is a little struggle for space, when such sweetness awaits?
