If you happen to be near St Teresa Church, you can visit this restaurant. Try Thai cuisine at Pali Thai. Many visitors come here to enjoy good mango salads, green chicken and chicken rolls. This place may please you with tasty mango sticky rice. Delicious coffee is among the tastiest drinks to degust.
A number of reviewers consider the staff creative. Guests say that the service is fast here. From the guests' point of view, get ready to pay fair prices for eating at this spot. You will be pleasantly surprised by the spectacular decor. But google users rated this restaurant and it didn't gain a high rating.
We ordered the following:
Prawn Spring Rolls (yummy)
Phad Thai Noodles with chicken
Green Thai curry with Jasmine Rice
For dessert we had a Coconut Milk based Chocolate dessert.
We enjoyed a Sauvignon Blanc and a Whisky Sour with our meal.
The food was good so was the service. The portions are decent.
The décor is sophisticated (not overly Thai) and attracts a sophisticated crowd. The bar was full when we were leaving. It’s a 2 level space, with a bar and a couple of tables downstairs and more tables upstairs. I like the fact that the tables are spread out.
My assumption of Pali Thai was a high end authentic Thai food restaurant couldn’t be more wrong. The place has amazing interiors, that’s where it all ends.
The food was so bad, and when you paying that kind of money for food- you should expect much much more than what they offer sub standard - non creative - balanceless food. (And I love Thai cuisine)
One of their dish was so bad - turnip cake - they had put so much xanthan (chemical for texture) it had become as hard as a rock- I think its gonna take 6-7 days to digest. They only good thing was the prawn spring roll.
Ordered for a sangria - HORRIBLE. Super sweet, bad recipe. I don’t know what they are thinking!
People in Bandra don’t mind paying that kind of money to have a unique experience. But Pali Thai is nothing but a disaster.
After paying a hefty bill amount- we were asked by the servers to leave as they wanted to go home at 12:15am. (Friday night- restaurant is empty)
Super bad time! Wish I had never made the decision to go there :(
