Excellent Portuguese House . Food was too good. The owner Ruben himself was with us while serving. He gave us a lovely tour of the house. Overall it's Worth a visit. Pre booking is a must. Highly recommended

A lovely spot to spend a few hours in the South. When you book a meal, you also get a short tour of the restored house. Given the state the house was in, it’s a huge and wonderful job they’ve done restoring it. The meal is a wonderful and large feast that feels one is visiting a friend’s house, and the beautiful thing about it is that it doesn’t feel like a restaurant. It is a bit of a detour irrespective of where you’re coming from in Goa but if you have a few hours to spare, it’s great to add to your itinerary.

We had a lovely time at Palácio do Deão. The mansion is stunning and we enjoyed learning about its history and the fantastic restoration efforts by Mr. Ruben and his family. The meal that followed the tour was among the best we've had in our week-long stay in Goa. The Indo-Portugese spread was huge and each dish was delicious. We especially loved the stuffed crab, the prawn caldine, the avocado and pomelo salad, the drinks and the chocolate cake. The soup and feni cocktails were great, too! To put it simply, the entire meal was fabulous! Thanks once again to Mr. Ruben for a wonderful experience!
