I am so disappointed to say, now a days the side dishes of Meals are of very poor quality. It is not like any other hotel in Cherthala. It is run by NSS and so my opinion is PADMA CAFE should maintain constant quality of food

Below average evening snacks, especially parippu vada (lentil fritters) and pazham pori (banana fritters). Tired of these snacks multiple times, but no improvement. Seems they are least bothered. Also, someone must keep a tap on the hand wash area. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Initiative of Nair Service Society as part of promoting Women Entrepreneurship, owned by Cherthala NSS Union Vanitha Samajam. A good vegeterian restaurant located now at Cherthala town in NSS Cherthala taluk Union building, on left side of XRay Jn. Cherthala bus stand road. Timing 7AM to 9 PM. Serves breakfast, snacks, lunch, tiffin. More than ten times I visited the place for lunch. They serve lunch in banana leaves, with traditional Kerala Sadya items. The side dishes of lunch tastes very good. But sometimes rice will be overcooked, sometimes under cooked they yet to standardise the cooking status of rice. Toilets not clean and stinky. Urinals @gents toilet need separation. Ac and non ac dining area available. Lunch, they reduced rate from 130 to ₹100/- now. But they retained almost same number of dishes, except fried chilly, chips and banana candy. Somedays they offer both white and red rice during lunch. Cash, card, UPI payment options available. Make the payment and take the token before lunch. Service is excellent by the dedicated ladies. The enterprise is fully managed by ladies, from cook to cashier.
