This restaurant belongs to Hotel Surya and it is located on its ground floor. Till now, I think this is one of the best restaurant in Dhenkanal. As long as I consider the foods that I have tried till date, Hotel Surya tops the list in terms of quality in Dhenkanal. Multiple times I have ordered from here but this last weekend I decided to dine here for dinner. Gotta say that before whatever food I had ordered were delicious and quantity was enough for two. The items were also tightly packed and there were no leakages. Among all the dishes I loved the Kashmiri Aloo Dum. Made with potatoes, dry fruits, cherries and lots of spices this particular dish was full of mixed flavors. It was sweet and spicy. This time we ordered mushroom salt n pepper and paneer tikka as starters. Mushroom was a bit over-fried but paneer tikka was perfectly made and it was soft but delicious. In main course we had Paneer pulao, Rajasthani naan, paneer kofta and dal fry. All the items were upto the satisfaction. None of the food were neither oily nor too spicy. The combination of thick dal and pulao was simply delicious. Kofta was creamy and a bit spicy at the same time. Everything was so well balanced. To end the meal we ordered a couple of sweet/salt sodas. Staffs were prompt in providing the best service they could to their customers.
