EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE at Oye Balle Balle Dhaba (Location: Ramesh Mitra Road, Purna More, opposite SBI – the one in the link above) We were 3 office colleagues along with my boss who flew in from Delhi, and decided to have lunch at Oye Balle Balle Dhaba. Few days back only . Sadly, it turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in Kolkata. WHAT WE ORDERED: • Mutton Bhuna • Chicken Kasha • Garlic Naans • Butter Naans. Total Bill: ₹1500 SHOCKING FOOD QUALITY: As soon as we started eating, we realised the mutton gravy was absolutely cold inside . This clearly shows the food was NOT freshly prepared, but just microwaved old food, and even that wasn’t heated properly. In a posh, central location like Ramesh Mitra Road, this is unacceptable. UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF BEHAVIOUR: When we complained, the waiter denied everything and kept arguing instead of handling the issue politely. They didn’t replace the dish — they simply reheated the same stale food and served it again . OTHER CUSTOMERS ALSO UNHAPPY: While paying the bill, we heard another lady complain that her special chai and butter toast were not freshly made either. So this is clearly a consistent problem here. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Cold food. Stale items. Rude staff & arguments. No accountability. Multiple customer complaints If possible, I would give Oye Balle Balle Dhaba a negative rating. Absolutely not worth the money. Please avoid.
