Shockingly tasteless! Right from when Ovenly was started, I had always been an all time person for their famous “Red velvet cream cheese cake”. I dont have a count of how much times I have ate that. With all greed, day before yesterday made this purchase from Kulathoor store and to my surprise, I was shocked. First of all, the color of cream kept giving me a doubt even though nameboard said cream cheese cake. With the first bite after reaching home, it was evident that it is just whipping cream, and not cream cheese. How can just a normal red velvet cake be sold with name and price of cream cheese? And coming to the taste - it was exactly “madhuram illatha payasam” which means a sweet without sugar. Cake was just some flour baked - no taste. Since I have ate this lot before, I couldn’t hold my disappointment. Its very shocking to see a brand who had a very good fame doing things down at this level. Also, the store was smelling bad - the smell that kept lingering around was odd and pungent.. thats of a damp cloth’s smell - could have happened if that’s used for wiping the counters. red velvet had a really bad taste. It seemed to be not freshly baked. Chocolate was also not upto the mark.
