Passing by Thakurbari Temple, visit this restaurant. The menu of Indian and Tibetan cuisines under the direction of the great chef are gorgeous at this place. Many visitors come to degust perfectly cooked beef, momos and pork.
The appealing staff reflects the style and character of Orthodox Restaurant. Nice service is something clients like here. Most of the time, this place provides you with the pleasant atmosphere. But most guests who use Google didn't grant this spot a high rating.

We had a lovely experience in the Orthodox restaurant. The ambience was good and location is great. Located at the starting of M G Marg and next to Dragon Oak another nice restaurant on the stretch. Orthodox Restaurant is open post COVID restrictions. Please check before you go to any place as many restaurants and places of tourist interest are still closed. We had some Bacardi and breeders and the cost was quite reasonable for alcohol. The pork ribs was roast was just awesome if you like pork. Their chicken dry also was too good. Masala papad is made differently over here. The service is good and staff are great. A very cozy place and makes you feel nice and comfy in the cold weather. Service too is pretty fast. Staircase leads to the restaurant on the first floor and there is no traffic permitted on M G Marg and people commute on taxi’s when they come here as parking is the biggest challenge anywhere in Gangtok. Please don’t miss this place when you visit Gangtok. Go for it and I am sure you will not be let down. Keep clean and stay green and keep Gangtok hygiene
