Hotel Arches has the menu displayed prominently even before the entrance so the assumption was that the breakfast options here would be great.
However, apart from untoasted bread, butter, jam and three types of flakes, there wasn't much here. For fruit the banana was served and eggs, coffee and tea were available upon request. Another table received baked beans on request.
Very limited spread for the breakfast buffet. The place is located on the rooftop with a closed ceiling - has scope for improvement.
If you are staying at the Hotel – it will be easy for you to step on to the terrace and enjoy some good food at the restaurant. And even if you are not staying at the hotel, you still can go up there like I tried the breakfast. I had a choice of Tea, Coffee in all the standard forms available across the city and in the buffet breakfast options. Corn Flakes, Chocolate Corn Flakes with plain or sweetened milk, along with 2 choices of Juices are aboard. The juices are not cold pressed and packaged instead.
Eggs are available on order, any way you would prefer them – sunny side up, omelettes and scrambled too. I tried the masala omelette which was nice and balanced in taste, required a little seasoning. You’ve the toast, butter and jam as well if you prefer anything of them all. It is a buffet and unlimited breakfast and pretty affordable if you have the appetite to eat well, otherwise it is not worth your money. The service and staff is great, I did not have any complaints in that regard. But the spread could have been more, much more. The menu apparently sounds a lot more than it actually is.
Service: 3/5.
Food: 3/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Value for Money: 3/5
Only one downpoint: The service was a bit slow (though not too slow)
