It’s not a great ambiance. But food was good. King fish fry, fish meal and crab masala were good. Fish curry could have been better. If you want to try something authentic other than the cafés in Gokarna, try this out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Our visit to Open Fish Land in Gokarna fell short of expectations. The restaurant underperformed in multiple areas. Prices were steep, especially given the subpar food and service quality. However, there was a silver lining - the Mackarel Rava Fry was delicious and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the fish curry was a major letdown, with dull flavors and lack of depth. Our server seemed disinterested, forcing us to repeatedly request basics. Ambiance was unimpressive, with cramped seating and characterless decor. The coconut leaf tents, though unique, didn't enhance the experience. Moreover, the lack of proper handwashing facilities was concerning. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
