Came here for lunch and had a pretty good experience overall. The food was nice and the ambience is honestly the highlight—really warm and well put together. Only downside is there’s no valet, just a paid valet parking option. Vegetarian choices are a bit limited but still manageable. Solid spot, would come back! Visited One8 Commune, Hyderabad, and overall had a mixed experience. The ambience is modern, lively and perfect for a relaxed meal, but the service was honestly the worst part of the visit. You simply do not expect this level of careless service from a restaurant carrying the name of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. The waitress serving our table kept dropping food on the table while trying to serve, which was extremely off-putting to watch. At one point, she even dropped a noticeable amount of gravy on my husband’s trouser. And the most surprising part is that she didn’t even apologise. Not a single “sorry.” It came across as rude and unprofessional, and it really affected the overall experience. What I tried: Kasundi Murg Malai Mushroom Googly Dimsum Three Cheese Kulcha Uncle Chang’s Fried Rice Old Delhi Chicken Korma I loved, loved, loved the Mushroom Dimsum. It was easily the star of the meal with perfect texture and flavour. The Kasundi Murg Malai was another favourite, beautifully marinated, juicy and packed with flavour. The Three Cheese Kulcha was warm, cheesy and very comforting. Uncle Chang’s Fried Rice was average. Since the restaurant positions itself as Pan Asian, expectations for Asian dishes are naturally higher. The fried rice lacked depth of flavour and definitely needs a recipe upgrade. The biggest disappointment in the food was the Old Delhi Chicken Korma. It wasn’t spicy enough for an Indian palate. A curd-based gravy can taste amazing when seasoned properly, but here it tasted flat. Naming it “Old Delhi” creates expectations of something bold and rich, but it didn’t match that at all. The chicken was also slightly undercooked, which made it even less enjoyable. Excellent starters, great kulcha, average fried rice and a disappointing korma. The food had some good moments, but the service definitely needs major improvement. I’d return for the dimsums, kasundi chicken and kulcha, but only if the service is taken more seriously.
