I have both dined in and ordered from here several times over the past 3 years and they are yet to dissapoint. My staple order of the Django Unsteaked is one of the best buff steaks I've had in my entire life and along with the delicious and consistent mashed potatoes, veggies and herbed rice accounts for a solid meal at very reasonable prices. Ambience at the restaurant is enjoyable with fun posters of cult pop culture films with cute steak references, books available for reading and comfortable seating with clean cutlery. The last time I came was on my birthday and after telling the owner was even offered a sizzling brownie with ice-cream, on the house. A Hidden Gem in HSR Layout! I recently dined at Once Upon A Flame in HSR Layout, and it was a delightful experience that I can't stop raving about! The Beef Tenderloin Steak was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, flavorful, and a true melt-in-your-mouth treat. The Pork Steak had an incredible smoky flavor, though it was just a touch undercooked for my preference, but nothing that stopped me from enjoying every bite. The Chicken Steak was another standout—succulent and seasoned to perfection. Their Christmas special Coffee Mocha Chocolate Drink was pure indulgence, capturing the holiday spirit in a cup! But the real stars of the show were the desserts. The Japanese Cheesecake with Passion Fruit was light, airy, and had the perfect tangy kick, while the Rum-Infused Chocolate Mousse was decadence personified, with just the right hint of warmth from the rum. This is a place I can see myself returning to, whether it's a casual lunch with friends or a cozy family outing. The staff was warm and attentive, the ambiance was inviting, and the food—simply unforgettable. If you're in HSR Layout, do yourself a favor and visit Once Upon A Flame. You won't regret it!
